Welcome to a member's site of the,
 Waitara Railway Preservation Society Inc,.

The Society started in May 1999, with very few members. Now after three years we now have 7.5Kms of the Branch line between Waitara and Lepperton, which is in North Taranaki New Zealand

Our Mission

The Society is hoping to restore various railway rolling and other railway items as we go along.

We have our licence and running excursions on the Branch for the public. The first excursion was at Labour Weekend 2003, which was a great sucsess.

Please check now and then for further new and updated pages as will adding as we roll along
